"Coins of the Lost Galleons" is a small book (28 pages) with lots of information and illustrations to help you identify and appreciate Spanish Colonial coins; pieces of eight and gold doubloons. Written by Atocha Golden Crew member, Capt. KT Budde-Jones; who worked for Mel Fisher as a diver and boat captain from 1981-1997.

Very informative and helpful in understanding the history of the wrecks as well as some of the history and background of the artifacts. Also the understanding of the recovery process. A good value overall.

This little booklet is a "must have" for anyone who owns, or is thinking about purchasing, a Spanish Treasure coin from the wreck of the Atocha.
Read the booklet, study the pictures, then stroll down to Shipwreck Treasures of the Keys and talk to the nice folks at the store about your coin, or intended purchase. They are more than happy to share their knowledge and love of the subject.
