Atocha Replica Cannon
This cannon Pendant is a modern day replica to the bronze cannons recovered from the Spanish treasure galleon Atocha. The Spanish galleon Nuestra Senora de Atocha struck a reef and sank on September 6, 1622, during a raging hurricane near the Florida Keys. Mel Fisher and his company Treasure Salvors, Inc., discovered the main wreck site on July 20, 1985 and ultimately recovered a vast amount of treasure and artifacts, including many bronze cannons similar in design to this beautifully detailed replica. The Atocha has the distinction of being the richest Spanish treasure galleon recovered to date.
