  • Note: Assayer "T", de Tapia, was known for his eccentric variations in coin strikes. With many transpositions over his tenure, the known dyslexic Tapia struck coins that yielded mirror images in the Mint Mark, Assayer's Mark, and legends. This coin bears a unique signature in the form of a cross, between the Mint Mark and Assayer's Mark; a mark that appears and disappears over time. It is known as the St. Andrew's Cross.
