Description: Iron Spike
History: The Atocha was built in Havana in 1620. Wrought iron from Spain was used by local Blacksmiths to forge the hundreds of nails, spikes, and fasteners need. Over time most of the timber from the Atocha was given to the Sea, leaving iron spikes, nails, and fasteners.
