Assorted Megaladon Pendants Wrapped in Sterling Silver

Megaladon teeth can be found in marine coastal deposits around the world. In the United States, they can be found on coastal areas of Florida, North and South Carolina, Maryland, and Georgia. Megalodon teeth are substantially larger than a shark tooth, so if it's BIG, it's likely a Meg. Teeth range in length from 3" to 5," the largest ever found, over 7."

Fossils attributed to megalodon have been found dating from the early Miocene Epoch (which began 23.03 million years ago) to the end of the Pliocene Epoch (2.58 million years ago). The word "megalodon", a compound of Greek root words, means “giant tooth.”
